This takes place on the first Wednesday of each month (except January) in the village hall, and enables the resident over-60’s to enjoy a hot meal and chat with their friends and neighbours.
Coincidental with this is a ‘Police Surgery’ when one of our resident PCSO’s can listen to any problems and offer advice. Frequently a Parish Councillor also attends.
For more information please contact Alice Salmon - 820370.
Above: The hall set out ready for the diner’s arrival.
Left: Some of the volunteer cooks and helpers who give their time on that Wednesday for the welfare of the group.
All sat down passing round the village news awaiting for their meals to arrive.
As every group should, and the lunch club is no exception, there has to be a raffle.
Some of the prizes for this week.
