Friskney is not well served with Public Transport
A reasonable bus service exists throughout the day on weekdays and on Saturday. There is virtually no service in the evening and only during summer months does a Sunday service operate.
For villager wishing to travel by train, the situation is even bleaker, requiring an initial journey to either Skegness, Wainfleet or Boston.
The franchise for our area is operated by East Midland Trains.
This provides a ’local’ service to Nottingham, with connections at Grantham and Peterborough depending on the destination for onward travel.
Bus services which run as part of the ‘Interconnect’
system, are operated by ‘Brylaine Travel’.
Friskney is about halfway along the Interconnect 7 route which allows travellers to connect with other services both at Boston and Skegness for onward travel.
A Sunday service operates only during the summer months and there is not an extensive service in the evening.
Peterborough & London
York, Newcastle & Edinburgh
In some circumstances it may be better to travel to Peterborough for northbound East Coast mainline services as not all trains stop at Grantham.
More information on local services may be had from the East Midlands Trains web site.

‘Hull Trains’ also provide a service which call at Grantham. This may involve a further change at Newark when travelling northward.
They now have new stock which will improve the previous lack-lustre service.
